Program for Professional Careers

The UK Credit Union Program to Professional Careers is a student-led, in-school branch of UK Credit Union. 

UK Credit Union is excited to present a new program to help your student to not only become career-ready, but also financially ready!

The Program to Professional Careers provides numerous exciting features designed to get high-school students on the right professional path, including:

• Internships: A paid internship and in-school branch program.
• Training: Classroom and on-the-job shadow training (this will be held in summer of 2024).
• Career Exposure: Learn from various UK Credit Union departments like Marketing, IT, Lending, Facilities, Risk/Compliance and more.
• Career Readiness: Students will be fully trained as UK Credit Union Tellers, gaining experience with valuable soft skills for customer service. They will also develop their time management and problem-solving abilities.
• Management Experience: Student Interns will operate and manage the in-school branch, as well as their schedules for other program requirements.
• Presentation Skills: Students will prepare presentations on financial topics for peers within FDHS and schedule with teachers throughout the school.
• Tuition Reimbursement Opportunities: UK Credit Union offers tuition reimbursement for employees, meaning that any student who pursues a career with UK Credit Union after the program would be eligible.
