Roy Wagner

A Kentucky native growing up in Eastern Kentucky, Roy Wagner, CFP®, has been a CFS Financial Advisor at the University of Kentucky Federal Credit Union since joining our team in 2012.

Roy has earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation. This mark comes with extensive training in financial planning, estate planning, insurance, investments, taxes, employee benefits and retirement planning, and the CFP Board’s Standards of Professional Conduct, which is rigorously enforced. He enjoys building strong relationships with our members, helping them focus on all parts of their financial lives, including retirement planning and wealth management.

Roy holds the FINRA Series 7 and 66 and is licensed for life and health insurance in Kentucky. In his spare time, Roy enjoys spending time with his family, including his three sons and wife. He enjoys the outdoors and often visits the Red River Gorge with his family, sailing at Cave Run Lake, and currently volunteers at Cave Run Youth Sailing club.

What was your favorite TV show growing up?

"I really enjoyed Family Matters, and every Friday my family looked forward to watching all the shows that came on TGIF."

What is your favorite fast food chain?

"I love good food, and I probably go to Chipotle most often. If I had to pick just one, I think I would pick the Cheesecake Factory because their menu is a small book, and you can always get something different."

Do you have any hidden talents up your sleeve?

"I have been playing guitar for about 20 years. Lately my oldest son has taken an interest, and we have been trying to learn a bunch of AC/DC and classic rock riffs."
